Ah… time to sit back and relax! I just finished the biggest pitch of my undergraduate career! Remember the blog about the account executive position ? Well, today the team and I pitched the final presentation to the national client. We received a lot of feedback from peers, professors and the panel, who all applauded our team and the presentation.
The entire project was a complete learning experience! I believe the project was one of those, “the more time you invest the more benefits you will receive” sort of thing. Without a doubt, I invested a lot of my time to the success of the project and as a result I learned a lot! I learned many different aspects of the strategic campaign process and all the work that is involved! (Research, proper documents, presentation styles… etc.)
Most importantly, I learned more about managing people. The group consisted of seven other people and each person had their ‘role’ in the project. As the account executive / team leader it was my responsibility to lead the team. Some team members were truly passionate about the project and others did not show much interest. However, I could not do everything on my own. The group really came together and supported everyone. One person, particularly, was my ‘right-hand-woman’. She was very supportive, always positive and truly wanted the project to be a success.
One of the cool things about the project was the ‘sky is the limit’ sort of thinking. …Because of this thinking, I was able to create two tactical videos that would be used in the campaign. It was a lot of fun working with GoAnimate to make the videos come to life.
The pitch wrapped up the final spring semester of my undergraduate career! Yay! Check out a few images below of other assignments I had throughout the semester.
Until Next Time,
