I am not sure about you, but when I think of a ‘fast pace’ job or task, I think chaos. Papers flying across the room with crazy newsroom music playing in the background. Without a stop in a days work, continuous go-go-go.
Whelp, I have a new understanding of ‘fast pace.’
You see… my job keeps me busy. We collaborate with each other to grow as a team. At times we can be found brainstorming with one another, doing our best to create productive strategies for our clients. In addition, we have our individual assignments to help our accounts become successful. Together, the team is constantly growing and working.
Naturally, creating a ‘fast pace’ work environment…
Every Monday, a task list is created for the entire week. The task list includes items such meeting times and deadlines. It is the document that maps out our work week, I view my task list as the itinerary for the work week. I do my very best to cross of each item in a punctual fashion and with, what I strive for, quality performance.
…The list can be heavy or light.
At times, my task list could be two pages filled with bullet points of items to complete for the week. During this time it is important to move swiftly throughout the day and use time wisely. I always find these work weeks to be the most exciting. This week for example, I have two large time sensitive tasks. In addition to researching the industry, writing newsletters and posting to social media accounts.
Needless to say, it is a jam-packed work week. Just minus the papers flying across the room and what was described as ‘fast pace,’ chaos, written above. Instead, insert your go-to motivational music, mine is Meek Mill or John Mayer Pandora stations (complete opposite, I know) to swiftly complete each task.
& to me, that is ‘fast pace’.
Until next time,
