It is hard to believe I celebrated my one year anniversary at Upright Communications. The year flew by! I have learned so much about online marketing and life in the professional world. So many great challenges and so many achievements. As an SEO professional, the amount of experience I’ve gained in one year is not measurable.
It seemed like yesterday I attended my first webinar. I never attended a webinar until working at Upright Communications. I can now say that I have attended many webinars hosted by awesome organizations such as Bright Local and Google Partners. I’ve taken on tasks such as working with our programers to launch sites, partnering with developers to create new site features and learning more about analytics (to name a few).
Reflecting on the past year, the jobs roles and responsibilities are everything I hoped for as an account manager! The company exceeded my exceptions as an employer. I am truly blessed to be employed by such an awesome company, the benefits are priceless!
My mentor, Colleen, asked me what my biggest accomplishment was this past year. I truly had a difficult time choosing one accomplishment as the most rewarding. So, I decided that being able to manage my time and tasks was a major accomplishment. Looking back, I do not recall missing any deadlines, I’ve been able to reduce time on projects to be more productive and I’ve always done my best to take on tasks to help out the team. Of course, my first site launch solo was an accomplishment, creating a more productive way for our team to create social media content was a (very fun) accomplishment and managing my first ‘multi location account’ was (and still is) an accomplishment.
This next year at Upright Communications brings so much more! I have big plans to continue my education in the SEO industry by earning various certifications. Building the Upright Communications and Upright Tire brands by working with our business development team. Last but not least, I have big plans to soak it all in!
Until next time,
Jenn L.
